Letter from His Holiness
The Great Kagyu Monlam has been held at the sacred site of Bodhgaya since 1983. Vast and profound aspirations are made during these prayer gatherings for the peace and well being of the world and for the continuous flourishing of the Buddha’s teachings. The enriching spiritual presence and the dignity of these Monlam gatherings have earned the appreciation and confidence of all. The great and noble activity is the cause of increasing joyful outlook, virtues and goodness. In order to preserve this worthy tradition, the Monlam Organizing Committee is inviting people to become supporting members for the ongoing Monlam program. Through this letter I would like to welcome all interested individuals and encourage you to become members. Your kind support will be put to good use, and it is my earnest prayer that it may bring about the benefit and well-being of all.
